If you would like to hire an instrument for tuition with a Warwickshire Music teacher you can do so by creating an account on our portal and applying for hire here
First year free hire applies to one instrument per pupil only. Free first year instrument hire is only available to pupils with a Warwickshire Music teacher. First year free hire is for 3 consecutive academic terms, which starts at the point of hire agreement acceptance. If you currently hire or previously hired an instrument and wish to hire a 2nd instrument please email music@warwickshire.gov.uk - This is subject to fee charges for the additional instrument.
If you are not receiving tuition from a Warwickshire Music teacher then external hire fee charges will apply.
Please note that by completing the hire application you are agreeing to the terms and conditions laid out by Warwickshire Music, so please take the time to read these carefully.
Instrument Hire Information
Instrument Hire Charges
After the first year free, your instrument hire automatically will roll over on to the second year hire at a termly rate. This also then roll overs on to third year hire.
The maximum total hire period of instruments is 3 years (including the first free year).
Instrument Insurance
The hirer is responsible for loss or damage to the instrument during the hire period. It is therefore recommended that you insure the instrument as soon as you receive it. It can usually be added to your household insurance, please check with your insurers. They will need details of the instrument, including make and serial number, as well as the address of the owner of the instrument

Alternatively specialist insurers can arrange insurance for you.
Warwickshire Music will cover the cost of repairs for wear and tear, but not loss, theft or accidental damage.
Instrument Hire Remissions & Minority Instrument Hire Scheme
Subject to availability qualifying Warwickshire Music pupils can apply for extended free hire for one instrument for the duration of their period of study. Parents/carers will need to comply with the terms of hire.
